This service is only available in Salons and is administered by specially trained stylists in the Keratin Complex Hair Therapy by Coppola methods, standards and equipment.

This treatment will take approximately two hours, depending upon hair length and texture.  It works on all hair types and can be used on chemically and color treated hair.

The Keratin Complex Hair Therapy by Coppola smoothing system conditions and shines the hair by infusing Keratin deep into the cuticle of the hair.  The result of this process is that each strand of hair has had natural keratin buffered with our unique patent-pending process to restore natural keratin into the hair cuticle.  

This smoothing system will eliminate up to ninety five percent of frizz and curl from the hair.  Testimonials from our clients are that their hair is more manageable and easier to maintain, reducing daily styling time.  For many, this is truly a life changing experience! Q: What is Keratin Complex Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment by COPPOLA?

A: It is a specially formulated revitalizing and rejuvenating treatment for the hair that eliminates up to 95% of frizz and curl. Applied by a certified technician, the advanced patent-pending formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a special blend of natural keratin deep into the cuticle.

The keratin is bonded into the cuticle by the heat of the flat iron to relax the hair's sub-cuticle layer.


Q: How much time should be allowed for each client?

A: Timing would be determined upon consultation. Generally, please allow a 2 to 3 hour window.


Q: What results can be expected after the treatment?

A: The hair will be more manageable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and straighter, with added life and shine as well as a lengthened look.


Q: Can hair be colored before the treatment?

A: Yes! A great time to have the treatment done would be directly after permanent color, semipermanent or highlights. The treatment will extend the life and seal the color in, leaving it vibrant. However, it's best to have glossing or toners done 3-5 days after treatment.


Q: Can the treatment be done on chemically treated, previously relaxed or straightened hair?

A: YES, It is recommended to wait two weeks between these chemical services


Q: How many days after the treatment before the hair can get wet or be washed?

A: You must wait 3 days (72 hours) before washing your hair or swimming.


Q: Can the hair be pulled back or clipped up during the 72-hour waiting period?

A: No. The hair should not have any impressions made by using bands or clips.


Q: What should be done if the hair gets wet during the 72-hour waiting period?

A: Blow the hair dry and flat iron with medium to low heat immediately.


Q: What kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used?

A: Keratin Care Shampoo & Conditioner (Sodium-Chloride Free) or Keratin Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner (Sodium-Chloride and Sulfate Free).


Q: How often can the treatment be done?

A: The treatment can be done as often as every 4-6 weeks.


Q: Is the re-application of the treatment done on the entire head or just on the new growth?

A: The treatment should be applied to the entire head for re-application, as the build-up of keratin can only improve, not harm, the hair. Your certified technician will determine the heat-smoothing process on the previously treated hair.


Q: How long might I see results?

A: The treatment lasts 3-5 months, depending on lifestyle and maintenance, provided the client follows all after care instructions.


Q: If I flat iron my hair regularly will it make the results last longer?

A: Not on it's own.  Using the Keratin Care products as a regular maintenance system will help the results last longer as they contain keratin protein, especially the Infusion. It contains 20% keratin protein which is activated by the heat of flat ironing in the same way that the Keratin Smoothing Treatment bonds the keratin protein to the hair.  See maintenance section below for more information on the Keratin Care products.   


Q: Should the hair be cut before or after the treatment?

A: We recommend that the hair be cut after the treatment, as the hair will have a smoother texture and

will lie differently.


Q: Can the treatment be done on pregnant or nursing women?

A: No. It is not recommended.

AFTER CARE


  • Do not shampoo hair for 3 days (72 hours).
  • Avoid getting any moisture into hair. If hair gets wet, blow dry immediately and go over lightly with flat iron on low setting. .
  • Wear hair down. Do not use pins, clips, ponytail holders or sunglasses to hold back hair.


MAINTENANCE


We strongly recommend the following products to be used to maintain the longevity of the treatment.

KERATIN CARE SHAMPOO (Sodium-Chloride free) It continues to re-infuse keratin into the hair

on a daily basis.

KERATIN CARE CONDITIONER (Created with especially chosen nutrient oils) Formulated to

work in unison with Keratin Care Shampoo.

KERATIN COLOR CARE SHAMPOO (Sodium-Chloride and Sulfate free) Developed to gently

remove dirt and buildup without stripping hair of its color.

KERATIN COLOR CARE CONDITIONER (Formulated with special keratin, wheat and soy

proteins) Provides lasting nourishment and protects the hair from the heat of blow-dryers and irons.

VANILLA BEAN DEEP CONDITIONER

A deep conditioning treatment for all hair types; packed with aromatherapy and vanilla bean bionutrients

that provide optimal nutrients and renewed shine.

  • Shampoo hair, apply a small amount in hair, comb through.
  • Cover with plastic cap for 10 - 20 minutes. Can be placed under dryer for maximum benefits.
  • Rinse well.
  • Proceed with styling.

INFUSION Keratin Replenisher

Created as a unique formulation that infuses keratin protein into the hair.  It repairs, enhances and strengthens the hair.

Use as follows:

1. Deep Conditioning Treatment: After shampoo, place small amount into hand and distribute

evenly, comb through, place plastic cap and sit under dryer for 20 minutes. Do not rinse. Blow-dry

and flat-iron.

2. Daily Blow-Dry Styling Tool:  After shampoo and conditioner, add a small amount of Infusion

into hair along with any other styling product you use and proceed with blow-drying and flat ironing.

3. Dry Hair Finishing:  Dispense a small amount into palm and evenly distribute throughout the hair, proceed

with a quick blow-dry and flat-iron for optimal results and shine.

Prior to swimming in the ocean or a chlorinated pool, wet hair and apply conditioner to

protect hair from salt and chlorine. After swimming we suggest that you rinse your hair thoroughly

with clear water to eliminate any salt and or chlorine build up.
